    Preheat your oven to 170°c. Take the butter out to soften at room temperature.

    Mix it with the sugar, egg yolk, flour, and baking powder. Grease a square pan, then pour the batter in.

    Bake for 30 minutes.

    The cookie should be golden.

    Take it out and set aside, still in the pan.

    For the caramel:

    Pour all caramel ingredients into a saucepan.

    Over medium heat, stir for 25 minutes to thicken the caramel.

    Pour the caramel over the cookie, spreading evenly, then chill. For the chocolate:

    Cut the butter and chocolate into pieces.

    Melt them together in a double boiler, stirring.

    Once melted, pour the chocolate over the caramel and spread well.

    Chill again until the chocolate hardens.
