    Wash and pit the cherries, remove the pits, and arrange them in the bottom of a buttered Pyrex dish (the dish must be able to go on the table).

    Meanwhile, make a well with the flour.

    In the center, put the sugar, salt, and eggs.

    Gradually mix in with a wooden spoon, adding the milk little by little (as you would for making crepe batter).

    Add the kirsch at your discretion, pour it over the cherries, and bake for about 30 minutes in a hot oven.

    Serve warm in the baking dish.
