Melt the chocolate and butter in pieces over a water bath.

Prepare the eggs: separate the whites from the yolks.

Mix the sugar with the egg yolks; the mixture should double in volume.

Add the melted butter-chocolate mixture as well as almond powder (or hazelnut powder if you prefer).

Whip the egg whites to stiff peaks.

It must be very firm.

Fold the stiff whites into the preparation.

Place the preparation in a greased mold and bake for about thirty minutes in an oven preheated to 200°C or Th. 6 or 7.

You can sprinkle some powdered sugar on top of your cake for decoration.
