Preheat your oven to 180°C (Gas Mark.

Cut the butter into coarse pieces then melt it over low heat in a baking-safe pan.

Remove from heat, then add the brown sugar and egg, and whisk well.

Add the flour and baking powder, mix.

Crush the pecans as well as the chocolate, then pour them into the pan while mixing.
