    Prepare the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half. Cook them (the cooking time depends on the initial state of the Brussels sprouts: if they are frozen, cook them in boiling water until tender). Meanwhile, sauté the minced onion, sliced thin carrots, and bacon bits in the bottom of a casserole dish with olive oil. Add the Brussels sprouts and let cook for 10 minutes. Then add the fish on top of the bed of Brussels sprouts. Cook over low heat until the Brussels sprouts have reduced well and the fish is cooked and tender.
