      Chop the peppers, tomatoes, cucumber, garlic, and onion before blending them.

      Chop and add the bread to the blender.

    Blend again.

      Add olive oil, sherry vinegar, and a bit of basil. Season and add pepper to taste.

    Blend and chill for at least 2 hours.

      Serve cold with some basil leaves as garnish.

      For personal tastes, you can dice peppers and cucumber and add 1 or 2 crushed hard-boiled eggs.
