Preheat your oven to 150°C in static mode (no rotating heat).

If not possible, reduce the temperature to 140°C).

Separate the egg whites from the yolks.

Whip them with sugar.

Melt the butter and then incorporate it into the mixture.

Add the flour and salt.

Warm up the milk slightly with vanilla in a saucepan, then pour it all into the preparation.

Beat the egg whites to stiff peaks.

Gently fold them into the batter using a whisk.

Line a cake tin (the tin should measure 20 cm in diameter) with baking paper.

Pour the batter inside.

Bake for 50 minutes.

The cake should be slightly wobbly.

Chill for 2 hours before unmolding.
