Wash the rhubarb stalks, remove the strings and cut them into small pieces. Peel the apples, remove the seeds, and cut them into pieces as well.

Pour the fruits into a pot, add sugar, then bring to a boil. As soon as the pot boils, reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes while stirring continuously.
