    Roll out the dough to a thickness of 3mm on a lightly floured work surface using a rolling pin, line a buttered and floured tart mold with the dough.

    Peel and finely chop the onions, sauté them in a pan with butter until they are golden brown.

    Season and pepper.

    Place the cheese, cream, egg, salt, pepper, and nutmeg in the mixing bowl.

    Blend everything together, then add the fried onions to this mixture.

    Peel the potatoes, cut them into slices, cook them in boiling salted water for 15 minutes, drain them.

    Place the potatoes on the dough, pour the cheese preparation over them, sprinkle with grated gruyère.

    Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 40 minutes.

    Serve immediately.
