Whip the yolks with the sugar.

Sift the flour and baking powder over the whipped eggs.

Mix well to obtain a homogeneous and smooth dough.

Beat the whites into stiff peaks with a little salt.

Fold them into the dough made from egg yolks.

Roll out the genoise, in a rectangle, on a flat surface (e.g., a baking sheet).

Bake for 10 minutes.

Remove immediately and let cool the rolled genoise wrapped in a damp cloth.

Unroll the genoise, spread with strawberry jam, and carefully roll it up.
