Peel the onions and cut them into slices.

Peel the garlic cloves and press them.

In a large skillet, sauté the onions on low heat with the butter.

Stop stirring when they become transparent.

At this point, add to the skillet the garlic, bouquet garni, salt, pepper, and finally pour in the white wine.

Turn off the heat.

In another skillet, heat the oil on high.

As soon as it starts to bubble, quickly brown the pork chops on both sides.

Remove them when they are well browned and drain them on paper towels.

Preheat the oven to 210 °C (th 6).

In a gratin dish, spread out the onions, add the bouquet garni, then place the pork chops on top and cover with bacon slices.

With a fork, beat the cream with the white wine and grated cheese, season with salt and pepper if needed, and pour over the meat.

Place in a hot oven and cook for 20 minutes.

At the end of cooking, briefly under the grill to color.

Serve very hot in the cooking dish.
